Western Airmotive was formed on January 1 1979 at Jandakot Airport, Western Australia's major General Aviation Airport.

Jandakot Airport is Australia's busiest airport with some 425,000 movements per year, 60% of which is circuit training and is rapidly earning a reputation throughout Asia as a very reliable Pilot Training Centre with a moderate climate enabling training 7 days per week. This has lead to Training Schools being established here by Singapore Airlines, China Southern Airlines and other major Asian Airlines are presently looking at training at Jandakot.

Western Airmotive's two principals John Elliott and Godfrey Everett each have 30 years Australian and international experience in the aviation industry. John Elliott spent 14 years with Hawker Pacific, including 3 years as South-East Asian Sales Manager, based in Hong Kong. Godfrey Everett's credentials include 5 years in Singapore as Sales Manager for Singapore General Aviation Services and 3 years sales experience with Hawker Pacific in Sydney.

As the largest aircraft parts stockist in Western Australia, Western Airmotive is a wholly Western Australian owned company. The enterprise has thrived in a demanding marketplace in which its competitors are multi-national corporations.

Western Airmotive currently has a staff of six full-time employees. In addition to John Elliott and Godfrey Everett who are responsible for sales and administration. The company employs a warehouse manager, a credit controller, a sales assistant and an administrative assistant.

Western Airmotive provides a 24 hour seven day a week spare parts support service for a wide range of General Aviation aircraft, from the Cessna 150 to the Shorts Skyvan. The company also operates a comprehensive Pilot's supplies retail outlet based at Jandakot Airport.
